My dog Gael is a bichon frise. I took him for obedience class when he was a puppy. He is very smart and hyper-active but can’t seem to stop the habit of biting everything he sees. He was able to follow commands quickly and enjoys school time at BetterDog. I love the way teacher Jojo explains dog behavior. And that’s what I appreciate mostly-not just tricks or commands that my dog learned, but what I have learned about my dog and why he behaves the way he does. Another favorite is grooming-they do an excellent job grooming Gael and he goes every month.

BetterDog helped my family and I understand my hyper and determined beagle, Max more. After working closely with Jojo and Brad, I realized Max needed more than just a daily run. His sharp mind needed the mental stimulation that ONLY the obstacle course at BetterDog provides. Our visits to BetterDog have both been fun and challenging for Max, Arthur and I. Max has become my family’s pride and joy because of BetterDog. THANK YOU.

At BetterDog, it goes beyond the Training, Grooming, and Hotel Services. This is a second home for my girls Hershey and Kahlua. I would always want to leave my babies at the Center and wouldn’t consider leaving them with relatives. That’s how much I trust them. What’s unique about BetterDog is that you know they sincerely care about you and your dogs. I’ve been going to BetterDog since November 2009 and it was the best decision I ever made. My girls went through Family Dog 1 and the Puppy Starter class, and the results are truly amazing. They’re now extremely attentive, well-adjusted and sociable. Kahlua started out as being painfully shy and anti-social, now she loves being around people and is good around other dogs. Hershey was my little trouble maker and is now a good example of social behavior for other dogs. To sum it up, BetterDog not only take cares of my dogs, they also do a little extra something for the owners. . .they give us a little piece of heaven where we can bond with our beloved canines.

BetterDog is just the best. Everyone there is so caring and goes out of their way to help you. The dog training classes were very helpful for me and our dog. We both learned a lot and are better off for it.

My new Golden Retriever puppy, Asia, was not going to be one of those dogs who begged for food, or embarrassed me by jumping all over my friends when they came to visit. After hearing great stories about Jojo, the Philippines’ dog whisperer, I gave him a call, Jojo began working with Asia when she was only a few months old and the results were amazing. While it was easy to see how Jojo could teach Asia to do almost anything, the most important training he provided was for me – showing me how I could have the well-behaved dog I’d always wanted by changing the way I responded to her. I’m sure I’m like all dog lovers everywhere who find all of their dogs’ shenanigans amusing, but if you want a dog even non-dog people will love, call Jojo.

BetterDog is Jacob’s second home! Jacob was one of the first students when BetterDog opened and we LOVE coming back. The facilities are top-notch and the trainers, assistants and staff are friendly and efficient. When we are at BetterDog, it’s like being with family. Having a 100+ pound Alaskan Malamute can be a challenge but BetterDog has helped me understand and manage Jacob so much better. Thank you, BetterDog!

I enrolled my 3 – year-old Golden Retriever named Hunter at BetterDog’s very first Family Dog 2 class last May. I knew my “home-schooled” dog had skills but I wanted to take him to the next level. After finishing Family Dog 2, I know we’re now better prepared if and when we decide to dabble in competitive dog sports or obedience competitions in the future. BetterDog has turned my already good dog even BETTER.-

I did Puppy Training and Family Dog 1 classes, and it really helped me understand my Mini Daschund. It helped me detect what she needs and if she’s happy. I would say that the classes made our bond stronger. I also like the way they handle the dogs when grooming them, unlike the other stores, they really make sure that things are properly done and that the dogs are not hurt.
