Behavior Counselling

As predatory animals, dogs are natural athletes and need daily physical stimulation that allow them to release the energy that builds up in their bodies. As social animals, they need to interact and carry on relationships with people and other dogs so that they develop into socially well-adjusted creatures. As thinking animals their lives need to be constantly enriched with interesting, novel and exciting experiences that boost their ability to learn from the environment and perform better in real life situations.

When these needs are not met, anxiety and stress can set in and upset a dog’s emotional well-being, and can manifest in nuisance behaviors, such as barking, jumping and running away. More serious issues like aggression and separation anxiety may also arise.

BetterDog offers behavior counselling that provides clients with a thorough understanding of a dog’s behavior as well as a solution to address the underlying issue and not just the symptoms.
